When they first started talking about the storm that came on Tuesday night into Wednesday I really thought we were going to get off school. When they first were talking about it they said it was going to be a rain producer, then they said ice, then they said rain/snow, and then they went back to ice. I remember before I left school on Tuesday they said that we were supposed it get a 1/4 of an inch of ice, so I was really excited. But when I got home, they had changed the winter weather watch to a flood watch, and that we were going to get all rain. What’s up with that? And then the meteorologists act like they didn’t do anything wrong. I was watching channel 4 and they came on and said, “There have been salt trucks out all day preparing for the wintry weather tonight”. And then Bob Ryan says, “Well I think all of that salt is going to be washed away Doreen because it looks like most of the metropolitan area will be getting rain.” I was really pissed off. I stayed up till around 11:30 that night. It was still sleeting and snowing when I went to bed so I thought we might have some hope. I woke up the next morning and checked my iPod to see if we even got a delay. But obviously we didn’t. I really hope all of the winter storms this year don’t turn out like this.
